Family Farm Day

A half-day on a working farm for the whole family. Children and parents sow seeds, harvest vegetables, meet the animals and cook a simple farm meal together.

Half day (4 hours) 1–30 people At our farm Hindi, English

Most children today have never pulled a carrot out of the soil. Family Farm Day brings the whole family to a working farm for a morning they will talk about for weeks.

Guided by the farmer, families sow seeds, harvest what is ready, learn how soil and water keep a farm alive, and finish with a simple meal made from what they picked.

The day includes:

  • A guided walk through the farm and its crops
  • Sowing seeds and harvesting vegetables together
  • Meeting the farm animals
  • Making compost and understanding healthy soil
  • A simple farm meal cooked with the day's harvest

No experience needed. Wear clothes that can get muddy.

What participants take away
