Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
AgriBoz ("we", "us", "the platform") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian laws. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the platform:
- Account & contact: name, email, mobile number, state and address; how you sign in (Google account or email one-time password).
- Farm ID profile (farmers): land details, irrigation, power, machinery, crops, livestock, trees, harvest and value-added products, farm management/family or staff details, farm story and photographs.
- Precise location: if you choose to enable it, your GPS coordinates and/or pincode, used for proximity-based discovery (“Food Around Me”), delivery options and supply mapping. You can decline or remove this at any time.
- Documents & certificates: soil/water test reports and organic or other certificates you upload for verification. These are stored in a private, access-controlled store and are not publicly visible.
- Buyer verification (buyers): organisation, GST number, buying capacity and related business details.
- Acharya & expert profile (Acharyas): professional bio, expertise, qualifications and certifications, experience and impact figures, organisations served, photos and videos, social links, programs and workshops. Sensitive items you submit for engagements (e.g. fees, bank/PAN details, private documents) are stored separately and are never shown publicly; an internal verification score is private to AgriBoz.
- Corporate & institution profile (corporates): company/legal name, industry, size, CIN, website, CSR/ESG details and budgets, sustainability frameworks, impact goals, CSR project briefs, and authorised team members’ contact details.
- Marketplace & intelligence activity: product listings, weekly baskets, procurement requirements and capability/harvest forecasts, leads and connection requests, program and funding enquiries, and the ratings & reviews you write about other users.
- Messages & notifications: in-app chat messages exchanged with your connections (on eligible plans), and your notification preferences for in-app and email updates.
- Payments: membership, booking, credit-pack, paid-knowledge, book-order and promotional-booster payment details, processed by our payment partner (we do not store full card details). For on-platform purchases where we collect and hold funds on a seller’s or host’s behalf (escrow-light), we retain the related order, payout and settlement records.
- Shipping & delivery details: for physical orders (such as printed books), the delivery address, recipient name and contact number you enter at checkout, shared with the seller solely to fulfil and deliver your order.
- B2B, corporate & funding enquiries: details submitted through our corporate, institutional, estate, farmer-funding and program enquiry forms.
- Technical data: device, log and usage data, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
2. How we use your data
To operate and improve the platform: verify the identity and authenticity of farmers, buyers, Acharyas and corporates; connect farmers with buyers; power proximity discovery, procurement matching and value-addition, supply and sourcing intelligence; compute your Rural Wealth, quality and recommendation scores; match farmers to relevant government schemes; surface Acharyas, programs and retreats; coordinate corporate, CSR and farmer-funding programs and produce impact reports; enable ratings, reviews and trust signals; process subscriptions, bookings, boosters, workshops and farm retreats; send service communications, notifications and reminders; and maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse. We use your profile and location data solely to surface relevant opportunities and matches to you and to eligible counterparties.
3. Location data
Precise location is collected only with your consent to enable local discovery and supply mapping. You can use the platform without it (with reduced proximity features), and you can remove or change your saved location at any time from your dashboard.
4. Sharing of data & service providers
We are a connection platform and we do not sell your personal data. We share data in these limited ways:
- Between users to enable connections: when you express interest in another party, limited contact details are shared to enable that connection (subject to your plan). Reviews you post and your public profile/listings are visible to other users and visitors.
- With service providers (processors) strictly to operate the service: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (application hosting), Razorpay (payment processing), MSG91 (email and SMS one-time passwords and notifications), and Google (optional OAuth sign-in). Where AI-assisted scheme processing is enabled, structured scheme data may be processed via the Anthropic (Claude) API; this does not include your personal contact details.
- Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users and the platform.
5. International data transfer
Our hosting and storage providers may process and store data on servers located outside India (for example, our database is hosted in the Asia-Pacific region). Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on providers that apply appropriate security and contractual safeguards, consistent with applicable law.
6. Government scheme information
Scheme matching uses only your Farm ID data to compute eligibility suggestions. We do not submit applications on your behalf and do not share your data with government bodies unless you explicitly choose to apply through official portals.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may access, correct, or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and pause or delete your account from your dashboard settings (deletion erases your personal data except where retention is legally required). You may also nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of incapacity. Requests can be sent to support@agriboz.com or to our Grievance Officer.
8. Data security & retention
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls and a private store for sensitive uploads such as test reports and certificates. We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. On account deletion, personal data is erased except where retention is legally mandated.
9. Children
AgriBoz is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact our Grievance Officer (see the Grievance Redressal page) or email support@agriboz.com.
