Username & Handle Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
AgriBoz lets farmers, buyers, Acharyas, eco brands and corporates claim a public @handle (for example, agriboz.com/@yourname) that links to their page. This policy explains how handles are assigned and the rules that keep them fair and trustworthy. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. What a handle is
A handle is a unique, public identifier for your profile or page. Handles are globally unique across the platform and case-insensitive. Claiming a handle gives you a licence to use it while your account is active and in good standing — it does not transfer ownership of the name to you, and does not grant any trademark or other rights.
2. Claiming a handle
Handles are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to this policy. You may hold one handle per eligible account/page. Handles must use permitted characters, must not be misleading, and must not be already taken or reserved. Availability is shown live when you claim from your settings or page editor.
3. No impersonation or misleading handles
You must not choose or use a handle to impersonate or falsely suggest affiliation with another person, business, brand, organisation or government body, or to deceive others about who you are. Handles that impersonate, mislead, or are chosen in bad faith (including to squat on or resell a name) are not allowed.
4. Reserved & restricted names
Certain names are reserved and cannot be claimed — for example, AgriBoz brand terms, platform/system routes, admin and support names, generic official-sounding terms, and names that are offensive, unlawful, or infringe a third party’s rights. AgriBoz may reserve, withhold or reclaim such names at any time.
Disputes, reclaims & trademark complaints
If a handle infringes your name, brand or registered trademark, or impersonates you, you can request a review by contacting our Grievance Officer via the Grievance Redressal page with proof of your identity or rights (and trademark/registration details where relevant). AgriBoz may, at its discretion, reassign, rename, suspend or release a handle to resolve impersonation, a bona-fide rights claim, or a breach of this policy. We aim to acknowledge and act within the timelines on that page.
5. Changes, inactivity & reclaim by AgriBoz
You may change your handle where the new one is available. AgriBoz may reclaim or release a handle if the account is deleted or deactivated, if the handle breaches this policy, or where required by law or a valid rights claim. Old handles may become available to others after release; links to a released handle may stop working.
6. Updates
We may update this policy as the feature evolves; the current version always applies. Questions can go to our Grievance Officer (see the Grievance Redressal page) or support@agriboz.com.
