What you get

Uttar Pradesh provides eligible small and marginal farmers a monthly pension of a minimum of Rs 3,000 after they complete 60 years of age, structured similarly to and often coordinated alongside the central Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PM-KMY) pension scheme. The pension is aimed at giving farmers a guaranteed retirement income safety net once they are no longer actively able to farm, recognising that the vast majority of Uttar Pradesh's farmers are small or marginal landholders without any other organised old-age income support. Beneficiaries already enrolled under related central schemes may have benefits coordinated to avoid duplication.
