What you get
The Sub Mission on Agriculture Mechanization is implemented in Uttarakhand to help farmers access subsidised agricultural machinery suited to the state's hill and terraced-field conditions, including power tillers, small tractors, mini reapers and other compact equipment that can operate on narrow terraces and slopes where standard large machinery is impractical. The scheme also supports Custom Hiring Centres so groups of farmers can share access to costlier equipment they could not otherwise afford individually, with subsidy rates that are generally higher for small and marginal hill farmers than the plains-state norm.
