Mukhyamantri Sashya Shyamala Yojana was announced by Tripura's Finance Minister during the 2025-26 state budget as one of 13 new welfare schemes, with the specific aim of promoting cultivation of high-yielding varieties (HYV) of crops among the state's farmers. The scheme is intended to raise per-hectare productivity and farmer income by subsidising quality seed and improved cultivation practices for staple and cash crops. As a newly launched scheme it is being rolled out through the Department of Agriculture's existing block- and district-level extension network.

Eligibility criteria

  • Resident farmer of Tripura
  • Engaged in cultivation of notified crops under the scheme
  • Registered with the local agriculture extension office

How to apply

    Contact the local Agriculture Extension Officer or Krishi Bhavan

    Submit application with land and identity documents

  3. 3

    Receive subsidised seed/inputs for high-yielding variety cultivation as notified each season
