What you get
Under the Chief Minister's Rubber Mission, the Tripura government is targeting at least 20,745 hectares of new rubber plantation during 2025-26 along with construction of at least 10 rubber processing units in the state. The mission builds on decades of rubber-based rehabilitation work by the Tripura Rehabilitation Plantation Corporation (TRPCL), which has already resettled thousands of tribal jhumia (shifting-cultivator) families through rubber plantations, with beneficiary families reportedly earning Rs 7,000-10,000 per month once plantations mature versus far lower jhum-cultivation incomes. The mission provides planting material, technical support for tapping and processing, and is expanding local processing capacity so growers get better prices closer to their farms instead of selling raw latex at a discount.
