Why it matters

What you get

Under this scheme, the Telangana government provides farmers cultivating fine (slender) variety paddy with an additional bonus of Rs 500 per quintal over and above the central government's notified Minimum Support Price (MSP), recognizing the higher market value and export demand for fine-grain rice varieties while incentivizing farmers to shift toward quality-grain cultivation rather than coarse varieties. The bonus is paid directly into the farmer's bank account at the time of procurement settlement through the state's paddy procurement centers, typically operated through the Civil Supplies Corporation in coordination with the Agriculture Department, adding meaningfully to farmer income during the procurement season.

Eligibility criteria

• Must be a farmer selling fine-variety paddy through official state procurement centers in Telangana
• Paddy must meet the fine/slender grain variety classification as notified by the state
• Sale must be recorded through the state procurement system for bonus eligibility

How to apply

   Register your paddy crop and variety details with the local procurement center/Agriculture office before harvest
