What you get

As part of the infrastructure backing the Sikkim Organic Mission, the state operates soil and water testing laboratories (including the facility at the ICAR Complex, Tadong, Gangtok which also houses the Sikkim State Organic Certification Agency) that provide farmers with soil health analysis to guide nutrient management and organic input planning. The department conducts a target of around 40,000 soil tests per year statewide, helping farmers identify nutrient deficiencies, soil pH issues and the right combination of organic compost/bio-fertilizer application for their specific plot — critical for sustaining yields without chemical fertilizers under Sikkim's all-organic farming mandate.
