What you get
Weather-index crop insurance that compensates for losses from adverse weather (rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind) based on automatic weather-station data, at the same low farmer premiums as PMFBY.
Eligibility criteria
- Farmers growing notified crops in notified areas
- Compulsory for loanee farmers (where notified), voluntary for others
- Premium 2% Kharif / 1.5% Rabi / 5% commercial-horticultural crops
