What you get

Weather-index crop insurance that compensates for losses from adverse weather (rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind) based on automatic weather-station data, at the same low farmer premiums as PMFBY.

Eligibility criteria

• Farmers growing notified crops in notified areas
• Compulsory for loanee farmers (where notified), voluntary for others
• Premium 2% Kharif / 1.5% Rabi / 5% commercial-horticultural crops

How to apply

   Enrol via your bank, CSC or insurance intermediary before the cut-off

   Pay the nominal farmer share of premium

3. 3

   Payouts are triggered automatically by the weather index
