What you get
Under the farm fencing (Tarbandi) component administered alongside Rajasthan's broader Krishak welfare schemes, farmers receive subsidy assistance of up to 50% (60% for SC/ST/small and marginal farmers in many cycles) of the cost of erecting wire fencing around their agricultural fields, to protect crops from damage by stray cattle, nilgai and other wild animals — a major and recurring source of crop loss across rural Rajasthan. The subsidy is disbursed per running meter of approved fencing material installed, subject to a maximum eligible area and budgetary ceiling per farmer per year, applied for through the Raj Kisan Saathi portal along with photographic proof of installation for verification before payout.
