What you get

Within the broader New Land Use Policy framework, the Composite Scheme component allows beneficiary families to take up subsidiary trades — such as piggery, poultry, weaving, or small horticulture plots — in addition to their main approved agricultural trade, spreading income across the year and reducing dependence on a single crop or activity. Support is disbursed in phases linked to bank credit facilitation and is monitored by the NLUP Implementing Board to ensure funds are used productively. This component has been key to diversifying household income for thousands of jhum-dependent families transitioning to settled agriculture.
