What you get

The Madhya Pradesh Organic Farming Mission (MPOFM) promotes organic farming practices across the state by supporting farmers through the conversion process from chemical-intensive to organic cultivation. Madhya Pradesh is one of India's leading states for certified organic cultivation area, and the mission provides technical guidance, group/cluster-based certification support (including PGS-India and NPOP certification facilitation), and linkage to organic input production and organic produce marketing channels. The mission aims to improve soil health, reduce input costs over time, and help farmers access premium prices in organic produce markets domestically and for export.

Eligibility criteria

  • Farmer must be willing to adopt organic farming practices on notified land
  • Preference for cluster/group-based applications (e.g. through FPOs or farmer groups)
  • Land must not have recent history disqualifying it from organic certification timelines

How to apply

    Register interest with the local agriculture department or Krishi Vigyan Kendra

    Join or form a farmer cluster/group for collective certification

    Attend mandatory training on organic package of practices

    Apply for PGS-India or NPOP certification through the designated certification body with department facilitation
