What you get

A component under the Chief Minister's ELEVATE Programme, the PRIME Agriculture Response Vehicle Scheme aims to employ, engage, and empower the youth of Meghalaya by promoting rural entrepreneurship centred on mobile agricultural support services. Selected entrepreneurs receive support to acquire and operate vehicles equipped to deliver services such as farm input supply, basic agri-advisory, and produce transport/aggregation to farmers in remote and difficult-to-access hill villages, addressing last-mile connectivity gaps that otherwise limit farmers' access to inputs and markets. This creates a self-sustaining rural service enterprise model while directly benefiting farmers in underserved areas.

Eligibility criteria

• Applicant must be a Meghalaya youth proposing to operate an agriculture response vehicle service
• Must commit to serving a defined rural/remote service area
• Subject to project appraisal under the PRIME Meghalaya portal

How to apply

   Apply through the PRIME Meghalaya portal under the Agriculture Response Vehicle component

   Submit the proposed service area and business plan

   Project appraisal and approval by the relevant committee

   Receive capital/operational subsidy support to acquire and equip the vehicle
