What you get
The Meghalaya Dairy Development Scheme, implemented through the PRIME Meghalaya single-window platform, supports farmers and entrepreneurs in establishing or expanding dairy farming units, given the state's significant unmet local demand for milk and dairy products which are substantially imported from outside the state. The scheme provides capital subsidy assistance towards cattle shed construction, milch animal procurement, and basic dairy equipment, alongside technical guidance from the Animal Husbandry Department on breed selection, feeding and herd health management, with the objective of building a more self-reliant local dairy supply chain.
