What you get

Implemented under the central Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) framework but administered through the state's MahaDBT portal, the Per Drop More Crop micro-irrigation component subsidises the installation of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems for farmers, helping them use water far more efficiently and expand irrigated area without proportionally increasing water draw. Subsidy is set at 55% of the system cost for small and marginal farmers and 45% for other farmers, applicable up to a five-hectare area per farmer per crop cycle, covering crops ranging from horticulture to cotton and sugarcane. The scheme directly supports climate-resilient farming by reducing dependence on erratic rainfall and lowering input costs associated with flood irrigation.
