What you get

Named after late minister Gopinath Munde, this farmer accident welfare scheme provides financial assistance to the families of farmers (landholders aged 10–75, including the named farmer and one nominated family member) who suffer accidental death or permanent disability. The scheme covers a wide range of accident causes including road accidents, drowning, electrocution, snake/animal bite, falling from height, and natural calamities, and pays up to ₹2 lakh in case of death or total permanent disability, with proportionate lower amounts for partial disability. The state expanded the scheme's scope to also cover the death of a farmer's wife during childbirth, with a ₹2 lakh payout, recognising women's role in farm households. The scheme operates as a state-funded "sanugrah anudan" (ex-gratia grant), administered through the Taluka Agriculture Officer with applications processed via the district administration.
