What you get
Sujala-III is a World Bank-assisted watershed development project implemented by Karnataka's Watershed Development Department since 2013-14, with an allocation of ₹412.59 crore. The project covers around 2,531 micro-watersheds across 11 project districts, carrying out soil and water conservation works, check-dams, contour bunding and other rainwater-harvesting structures to improve moisture availability for rain-fed crops. As part of the project, farmers get access to detailed Land Resource Inventory data (soil type, climate, water and vegetation) for their plots, helping them make better-informed cropping decisions.
