What you get
HP-SHIVA is a ₹1,292 crore World Bank-supported project to expand sub-tropical horticulture across seven districts of Himachal Pradesh, covering around 6,000 hectares of new and rejuvenated orchards. It promotes cultivation of fruits such as oranges/citrus, guava, litchi and plum, alongside drip irrigation infrastructure, nurseries, and post-harvest/value-addition facilities. The project is designed to benefit over 15,000 farming families by improving orchard productivity and linking growers to processing and markets.
Eligibility criteria
- Fruit grower/orchardist in one of the seven covered districts of Himachal Pradesh
- Land suitable for the target sub-tropical fruit crops (citrus, guava, litchi, plum)
- Willingness to adopt the project's recommended orchard and irrigation package
