What you get
This scheme was launched to address the widespread problem of crop damage caused by wild animals, stray cattle and monkeys across Himachal Pradesh's hill farms. It subsidises solar power fencing at 80% for an individual farmer and 85% when implemented at the community/cluster level, plus 50% subsidy on barbed wire and chain-link fencing and 70% subsidy on composite fencing. As of recent data, around 4,669 hectares of farmland have been covered and roughly 5,535 farmers have benefited, with about ₹175.38 crore spent under the scheme to date.
