What you get
The Directorate of Fisheries, Government of Goa implements the centrally-sponsored Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) within the state, providing subsidy support for activities such as fishing craft and gear, brackish-water and inland aquaculture infrastructure, cold-chain and post-harvest facilities, and welfare measures for fishermen. The scheme is aimed at boosting fish production, improving incomes of fishing and fish-farming households, and strengthening the fisheries value chain in the state.
Eligibility criteria
- Must be a fisherman, fish farmer, or fisheries cooperative member registered in Goa
- Proposed activity (craft/gear/aquaculture infrastructure) must fall under the notified PMMSY component list
- Land or water-body rights documentation required for aquaculture-related components
