What you get
Godhan Nyay Yojana, launched in July 2020 and continuing under the current state government, allows cattle owners, farmers, and rural self-help groups to sell cow dung at a fixed government rate to designated collection centres (Gauthans) in their village. The collected dung is processed into vermicompost and other organic inputs, which are then sold back to farmers at subsidised rates, supporting organic and natural farming while creating a steady secondary income stream for livestock-owning households.
