What you get
The Krishi Input Subsidy Scheme provides financial assistance to farmers in Bihar whose crops are damaged due to natural calamities such as floods, drought or excessive rainfall, typically assessed during the July-to-September window. Eligible farmers receive a per-hectare subsidy — historically around Rs.6,800/hectare for unirrigated crops, Rs.13,500/hectare for irrigated crops, and Rs.18,000/hectare for perennial crops — for a maximum of 2 hectares per farmer, to help offset input costs for seeds and the next crop cycle. Farmers who have already received benefits under a similar relief scheme for the same loss are not eligible again.
