What you get
Launched in 2017, this scheme gives farmers easy access to formal short-term crop credit through banking channels. The State Government provides an interest subvention of 4% on crop loans / Kisan Credit Card limits up to Rs 3,00,000 sanctioned by any bank during the financial year. Farmers who promptly repay their short-term production (crop) loan within one year of disbursement get an additional 3% per annum interest relief from the State. Combined, a farmer who borrows up to Rs 3 lakh and repays on time effectively pays zero interest on the crop loan. The scheme targets short-term crop cultivation and aims to cover thousands of farmers across the state each financial year.
