Retreat Safety & Liability Disclaimer

1. Nature of Farm Environments

Farm environments are active agricultural sites that may include:

• Uneven terrain, unpaved paths, muddy surfaces, and open water bodies
• Agricultural machinery, tools, and equipment
• Livestock, farm animals, and insects
• Chemicals, fertilisers, pesticides, and organic matter
• Extreme weather conditions including heat, rain, and dust
• Outdoor fires, open-flame cooking, and rural infrastructure

2. Participant Responsibilities

All retreat guests are responsible for:

• Physical fitness: Assessing your own fitness level before booking. Some activities involve physical exertion, walking on uneven ground, or outdoor labour in variable weather.
• Medical disclosure: Informing the retreat host of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, dietary restrictions, or physical limitations before arrival.
• Following instructions: Adhering to all safety instructions provided by the host, including rules regarding livestock interaction, machinery zones, and restricted areas.
• Children and dependants: Supervising minors or dependants at all times. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during activities.
• Personal belongings: Taking responsibility for personal belongings and valuables.
• Travel insurance: Arranging personal travel insurance if desired. AGRIBOZ does not provide travel or health insurance for retreat guests.

3. Host Obligations

All AGRIBOZ-listed retreat hosts are required to:

• Accurately represent facilities, activities, accommodation, and access conditions in their listings
• Maintain a basic first-aid kit and emergency contact information on site
• Disclose known hazards to guests before or on arrival
• Comply with applicable local safety, food hygiene, and accommodation regulations
• Ensure livestock and animal enclosures are properly secured during guest stays

AGRIBOZ verifies host listings but does not conduct physical safety inspections. Listing approval does not constitute a safety certification.

4. AGRIBOZ Liability Limits

AGRIBOZ is a marketplace platform that connects guests with independent retreat hosts. AGRIBOZ:

• Is not the retreat provider and does not operate, manage, or control the physical farm retreat environment
• Is not liable for personal injury, illness, accident, or death arising from participation in retreat activities
• Is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property during a retreat
• Is not liable for the acts or omissions of independent retreat hosts
• Is not liable for travel disruptions, weather events, or force majeure circumstances

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, AGRIBOZ's aggregate liability arising from any retreat booking is limited to the amount paid for that booking.

5. Food Safety

Many farm retreats include farm-to-table meals, raw produce handling, or open-air cooking. Guests with food allergies, intolerances, or medical dietary requirements must:

• Disclose their requirements to the host in writing before arrival
• Confirm that the host can accommodate their requirements before the booking is finalised
• Exercise personal caution when consuming unprocessed farm produce

AGRIBOZ is not liable for allergic reactions, food poisoning, or dietary incidents arising from meals served by retreat hosts.

6. Emergency Procedures

In the event of a medical emergency during a retreat:

7. Complaints and Disputes

If you experience a safety failure or misrepresentation by a retreat host, report it within 48 hours of the incident to agriboz21@gmail.com with supporting documentation. AGRIBOZ will investigate and may suspend or remove hosts who fail to meet our standards.

8. Governing Law

This disclaimer is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Delhi, India.
