What you get
The Tamil Nadu Millets Mission promotes the cultivation of traditional millets (such as ragi/finger millet, kambu/pearl millet, varagu/kodo millet, and other minor millets) which are climate-resilient, require fewer inputs than paddy, and offer strong nutritional value, aligning with the National Agricultural Development Programme's broader millet push. Under the mission, farmers receive distribution of MN (micronutrient) Mixture and bio-fertilizers at 50% subsidy, along with seed support and extension guidance, while market-linkage initiatives help connect millet growers to value-added processing and the growing consumer demand for millet-based food products following the International Year of Millets push.
