What you get
This production incentive scheme rewards farmers for growing and selling 12 selected cash crops and vegetables — including large cardamom, ginger, turmeric, orange, buckwheat, red cherry pepper, green peas, cabbage, cauliflower, radish, carrot and kiwi — by paying a direct cash incentive on verified sales through identified marketing agencies. The incentive is capped at Rs 30,000 per crop and an overall ceiling of Rs 1,00,000 per farmer across all eligible crop varieties sold, disbursed twice a year. Sales are verified through Self Help Groups, Farmer Producer Organisations, Village Level Worker centres, cooperatives and the state marketing federation SIMFED/DACS before incentive payout, with around Rs 34 lakh distributed to farmers in the scheme's early implementation.
