What you get

Launched in 2023, this scheme provides free electricity for agricultural consumption to farmers in Rajasthan using farm power connections for irrigation pump sets and other agricultural loads. Farmers with eligible agricultural electricity connections receive a zero bill for consumption up to 2,000 units per month — effectively removing the single largest recurring input cost for tube-well and pump-based irrigation in the state. The benefit is applied automatically by discoms (Jaipur/Ajmer/Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam) at the time of billing for registered agricultural connections, without a separate subsidy claim process.

Eligibility criteria

• Must hold an agricultural-category electricity connection in Rajasthan
• Connection must be registered in the farmer's name with the discom
• Benefit applies up to 2,000 units of consumption per month
