What you get
The Gopal Credit Card Scheme extends interest-free working-capital loans of up to Rs 1,00,000 to farmers engaged in cattle and buffalo rearing, modeled on the Kisan Credit Card but specifically for livestock/dairy needs. The loan, available without collateral security, can be used for purchasing fodder and animal feed, constructing or repairing cattle sheds, buying dairy equipment, veterinary treatment, and even purchasing milch animals. No interest is charged if the loan is repaid within the stipulated one-year period. The scheme requires membership in a Milk Producer Cooperative Society and has a state budget allocation of Rs 150 crore benefiting around 5 lakh farmers; under 2024–25 revised guidelines, women members of Rajivika (Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad) self-help groups are also eligible, with around 35,000 women rearers covered.
