What you get
Beyond the dedicated crop-residue machinery subsidy, Punjab runs a broader agriculture machinery subsidy scheme covering general farm equipment such as seed drills, sprayers, threshers, zero-till drills and laser land levelers. Individual farmers can avail subsidy of up to 50% of machine cost, while registered farmer groups, cooperatives and Custom Hiring Centres can receive up to 80% subsidy, encouraging shared-ownership models that extend mechanization access to farmers who cannot afford equipment outright. Custom Hiring Centres set up under the scheme rent out machinery at affordable rates to small farmers in the surrounding area.
