What you get
PMKSY was launched nationally in 2015 with the motto "Har Khet Ko Paani" (water to every field) and is implemented in Nagaland to extend irrigation coverage in a largely rainfed, terraced-hill agricultural landscape. The scheme funds creation of new water sources (check dams, farm ponds, water harvesting structures), conveyance infrastructure, and subsidised installation of micro-irrigation systems (drip and sprinkler) to improve water-use efficiency on hill terraces and valley farms alike. Subsidy on micro-irrigation equipment for small and marginal farmers is typically higher than for others.
