What you get
Launched by the Governor of Mizoram in June 2026, Khet Bachao Abhiyan is a soil-health and natural-farming awareness and advisory drive run with the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare. It works through village-level camps and demonstrations to encourage farmers to use Soil Health Cards to apply only the nutrients their soil actually needs, reducing wasteful and harmful over-application of chemical fertilizer, and to adopt natural/organic farming inputs such as compost, vermicompost and bio-fertilizers. The campaign aims to halt soil degradation linked to decades of unscientific fertilizer use and improve long-term yield sustainability.
