What you get
Launched by the Chief Minister on 2 May 2026, the Mizo Ginger Unique Selling Proposition (USP) Mission is a value-chain project backed by Rs 30.13 crore in financial assistance from the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER). It funds four modern ginger processing units in Champhai district, Mizoram's largest ginger-growing belt bordering Myanmar, covering cleaning, grading, drying and primary processing facilities. The mission is expected to directly benefit around 20,000 ginger-growing households and create close to 100 new local jobs in processing and logistics. It works alongside post-harvest management support to reduce spoilage and raise farm-gate prices.
