What you get
Karnataka was one of the first Indian states to adopt a formal State Policy on Organic Farming (2004), and continues to implement organic input support and promotion activities under its Agriculture Department. Farmers transitioning to organic methods receive support for organic inputs such as bio-fertilisers, vermicompost units and botanical pesticides, along with guidance on group/cluster certification (such as PGS-India) to help access organic produce markets and command premium prices. The policy framework also supports farmer clusters and FPOs adopting organic practices collectively for cost-effective certification.
