What you get

Under Karnataka's farm mechanization support programme, the Department of Agriculture distributes farm implements and small machinery to farmers at subsidised rates — 50% subsidy for general-category farmers and up to 90% subsidy for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers. This is implemented alongside the Custom Hire Service Centre (Krishi Yantra Dhare) network so that farmers who want to own rather than rent machinery have a subsidised purchase route, particularly benefiting SC/ST smallholders who otherwise face the highest barriers to mechanization.

Eligibility criteria

• Farmer registered with the Karnataka Department of Agriculture (FRUITS ID)
• SC/ST category farmers eligible for the 90% subsidy slab on production of a valid caste certificate
• General category farmers eligible for 50% subsidy, subject to budget availability for the year

How to apply

   Apply at the Raitha Samparka Kendra with the desired machinery/implement request

   Submit category certificate (if claiming SC/ST subsidy) along with land and identity proof

   Subsidy adjusted at the time of machinery purchase through an approved dealer, or reimbursed via DBT
