What you get
The Jharkhand State Millet Mission promotes cultivation of coarse cereals/millets — including ragi (finger millet), bajra (pearl millet), kodo, kutki, jowar and other minor millets — as a climate-resilient, drought-tolerant alternative for the state's rain-fed farmers. Farmers cultivating millets on land up to 5 acres receive incentive assistance ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹15,000 depending on area cultivated, intended to combat drought-related crop losses and revive traditional millet farming. The 2025-26 state budget allocated ₹24.50 crore to extend the benefit to around one lakh farmers.
