What you get
Named after tribal icon Birsa Munda, this scheme funds the production, exchange and distribution of certified quality seeds of major crops (paddy, wheat, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables) to Jharkhand farmers at subsidised rates, along with crop extension activities such as demonstrations and farmer training on improved package-of-practices. The 2025-26 state budget allocated ₹95 crore to this scheme, aimed at improving the quality and yield of seed used across the state and reducing dependence on farmer-saved or open-market seed of uncertain quality.
