What you get
Launched as part of the Gujarat Budget 2025-26, the Mukhyamantri Gau Mata Poshan Sahay Yojana provides financial assistance of Rs 30 per day per animal to registered gaushalas (cow shelters) and panjrapols (animal welfare shelters) for the upkeep and nourishment of sheltered cattle. While the direct beneficiary is the registered shelter institution, the scheme indirectly supports the broader dairy and farming community by strengthening the cattle-care infrastructure many farmers and gaushalas rely on.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicant institution must be a registered gaushala or panjrapol recognised by the state government
- Animals being claimed for must be physically housed and verified at the registered shelter
- Institution must maintain records of animal count and care as required for verification
