Assistance for Mechanized Transplanting and Harvesting of Paddy, Pulses, Groundnut and Sugarcane

What you get

This scheme provides 50% financial assistance towards the cost of mechanized paddy transplanting, mechanized harvesting, and tractor-based land preparation for paddy, pulses, groundnut, and sugarcane cultivation in Goa. With agricultural labour increasingly scarce and costly in the state, the scheme encourages farmers to adopt custom-hiring of machinery services, keeping traditional paddy and pulse cultivation viable.

Eligibility criteria

• Must be a farmer cultivating paddy, pulses, groundnut, or sugarcane in Goa
• Mechanized service (transplanting/harvesting/land preparation) must be availed through an approved service provider or department-empanelled custom hiring centre

How to apply

   Approach your Zonal Agricultural Office or an empanelled custom hiring centre for mechanized transplanting/harvesting services

   Avail the service for your paddy/pulses/groundnut/sugarcane field

   Submit the service bill/receipt to the agriculture office for subsidy claim

   Eligible 50% assistance is reimbursed to the farmer's bank account
