What you get
Under the Agriculture Mechanisation Scheme, the Directorate of Agriculture, Goa provides a subsidy of 50% of the standard or actual cost (whichever is lower) for the purchase of tractors, mini tractors, power tillers and mini tillers, and a higher 75% subsidy for other approved agricultural machinery such as weed cutters, sprayers, and processing equipment. Scheduled Tribe farmers receive an enhanced subsidy of up to 90% on select equipment like weed cutters and mini tillers. The scheme is open to individual farmers as well as groups of farmers and farmer NGOs, and aims to reduce drudgery and modernise small-holding cultivation typical of Goa.
Eligibility criteria
- Must be a resident farmer (individual, farmer group, or registered farmer NGO) in Goa
- Must hold cultivable agricultural land in the state
- Scheduled Tribe farmers are eligible for an enhanced subsidy rate on notified equipment
- Subsidy is generally available once per machinery category within the notified scheme period
How to apply

Apply at your local Zonal Agricultural Office of the Directorate of Agriculture with land and identity proof

Select the machinery/equipment required and obtain a quotation

Department verifies eligibility and approves the subsidy amount

Purchase the machinery and submit bills to claim the subsidy, disbursed via bank transfer
