What you get

This state relief mechanism supplements central crop insurance by providing direct cash assistance to farmers whose crops are damaged by natural calamities such as drought, unseasonal rainfall, hailstorm, or flooding, where the loss is assessed through a state-conducted crop-loss survey. Assistance is paid per affected acre based on the extent of damage recorded, helping bridge gaps not fully covered by insurance payouts.

Eligibility criteria

• Crop damage must be due to a notified natural calamity
• Loss must be verified through the official girdawari/crop-loss survey conducted by revenue and agriculture officials
• Affected land must be registered in the farmer's name or recognised tenancy records
• Bank account linked to Aadhaar for DBT payment

How to apply

   Report crop damage to your local Patwari/agriculture extension officer as soon as it occurs

   A joint revenue-agriculture survey team assesses and records the extent of loss

   Verified loss reports are compiled and approved at the district level

   Relief assistance is credited directly to the affected farmer's bank account
