Approved in 2025 with an outlay of Rs.342 crore, Eti Koli, Duti Paat provides a one-time financial assistance of Rs.5,000 to eligible tea garden workers and employees across Assam, benefiting around 7 lakh people from the tea-tribe and Adivasi communities who form the backbone of the state's tea economy. The scheme is part of a broader set of welfare measures for tea garden communities that also includes land pattas, healthcare support and educational access initiatives.

Eligibility criteria

  • Tea garden worker or employee in a recognised tea estate/garden in Assam
  • Name listed in the tea garden's worker records
  • Bank account for direct benefit transfer

How to apply

    Check with your tea garden management or the Tea Tribes Welfare office whether you are on the eligible worker list

    Submit Aadhaar and bank details for verification

    Receive the one-time assistance via direct bank transfer
