Recognising the difficulty of using standard large farm machinery on Arunachal Pradesh's hilly and terraced fields, this scheme provides subsidy support for power tillers, small pump sets, sprayers and other equipment suited to hill agriculture. The subsidy helps reduce the upfront cost for individual farmers and farmer groups, easing labour-intensive operations such as land preparation and irrigation in the state's terrace and shifting-cultivation farming systems.

Eligibility criteria

• Farmer or farmer group cultivating land in Arunachal Pradesh
• Equipment requested suited to the terrain/crop as assessed by the Agriculture department
• Application routed through the District Agriculture Office
