What you get
AtmaNirbhar Krishi Yojana is a credit-linked subsidy scheme launched in 2021 to make Arunachal Pradesh self-reliant in agriculture. Eligible activities include scientific land terracing, double-cropping, farm mechanization, FPO support, and cultivation of crops such as buckwheat. The cost of an approved project component is shared as 45% government subsidy, 45% bank loan (through SBI, Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank or Arunachal Pradesh Cooperative Apex Bank), and 10% borne by the applicant, with collateral-free loans available up to Rs.1,60,000 for individuals and up to Rs.10,00,000 for Self-Help Groups.
Eligibility criteria
- Permanent resident of Arunachal Pradesh engaged in farming or an eligible FPO/SHG
- Project proposal for an approved activity (terracing, mechanization, buckwheat, etc.)
- Willingness to contribute 10% of project cost and service the bank-loan component
