What you get
The Arunachal Spice Mission, notified under the state's Horticulture Policy 2025-35, aims to expand cultivation of high-value spices such as large cardamom (where Arunachal Pradesh already leads the North-East in output), black pepper, Sichuan pepper, star anise, turmeric and ginger. The mission provides support for planting material, cultivation training, and market linkage to help spice farmers, many in remote hill districts, convert traditional spice cultivation into a more commercially viable enterprise.
Eligibility criteria
- Farmer cultivating or planning to cultivate notified spice crops in Arunachal Pradesh
- Land suitable for the relevant spice crop as assessed by the Horticulture department
- Registration with the district horticulture office for mission benefits
