What you get
Under this scheme the Andhra Pradesh government reimburses the interest on short-term crop loans (up to a notified limit, raised over time) taken from cooperative banks, commercial banks and regional rural banks, provided the farmer repays the loan within the stipulated period. The benefit particularly supports women members of self-help groups, who can additionally access SHG-linked loans of Rs.20,000 to Rs.40,000 at zero interest. This reduces the cost of working capital for the crop season.
