What you get
YSR Matsyakara Bharosa provides annual financial assistance to marine fishermen families to help compensate for income loss during the fishing-ban period, when sea fishing is restricted for conservation reasons. The broader fisheries support umbrella also includes assistance for aquaculture farmers, such as power subsidy on aquaculture-related electricity use and support for ice plants and fishing harbour infrastructure, aimed at strengthening the livelihoods of coastal and inland fish-farming communities in the state.
Eligibility criteria
- Registered marine fisherman family or registered aquaculture farmer in Andhra Pradesh
- Valid fisherman/aquaculture registration with the Fisheries department
- Bank account linked to Aadhaar for direct benefit transfer
